How long do you want to ignore this user?
My daughter is graduating from A&M this May and has been interviewing for jobs. She just received job offers from Insight Global and Colabera. I was wondering if anyone here had any opinions on working for either of these companies?

Insight Global is one of the large staffing agency churn and burn type of places: high turnover, boiler room atmosphere, long hours, high stress etc. She will probably hate her job, but if she really wants a career in recruiting then she will have really good training at insight global. Also, they will be a good company to list on her resume. She can work there for a year or two then transition into a much better in-house corporate recruiting role with another company like Amazon or Google. A lot of the tech company's internal recruiters came from Insight Global.

I havent heard much about Colabera but Im going to assume they are probably similar to insight global but without the brand name.

Recruiting can be tough, especially working for the recruitment agencies. But if she sticks it out then she will have a lot of opportunities waiting for her. This is the best recruitment job market in history, there are more recruiter job openings out there than recruiters to fill the jobs. Good luck to your daughter.

In Dallas by chance? I run a staffing firm that focuses on Engineering. If she is interested in recruiting, I'd like to talk with her.

I have dealt with both for staff augmentation.

The strategy for IG at least seems to be to hire young, attractive women and use them as the sales people to hock candidates. If you're good at selling, it can pay.

I've had probably 15+ friends and a couple of family members spend time at both.

Insight is going to offer a low base but an aggressive commission structure if she can make it to recruiter. It's very hard nosed boiler room cold calling early, which is t a bad thing. She'll learn a lot of valuable skills for sales and recruiting. It's a tough atmosphere and also a wild one. Very work hard play hard culture. Most friends have moved on into lucrative sales roles or Cush corporate recruiter roles. The one family member that is still there does great also.

Collabera , I've had a few Ags I'm close with spend many years there. I've heard good things.

Thanks for all the replies. Good info.
My daughter has accepted the Insight Global offer. She's starting June 6 in the Houston office.
I'm really excited for her.

She's going to learn a ton and have a lot of doors opened to her . They are their own network over there and it's a good one.
