SMR Gulf Coast, Inc is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team! We are a Specified Manufacturers' Representative firm that provides specification work and technical sales support to customers on Industrial and Commercial Electrical Products for over 25 manufacturers which we represent.
The Inside Sales Representative position is located in Houston, Texas and would have the below responsibilities and qualifications met:
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell our manufacturers' products and services to new and existing customers via phone and email
- Provide cross reference on competitor bills of material
- Resolve customer inquiries and issues
- Provide quotations to various distribution partners
- Provide technical assistance and support on behalf of our manufacturers
- Assist with project management for various manufacturers
- Provide sales support to SMR Gulf Coast Territory Account Managers
- Maintain database of customer and distribution partners contact information
- Attend manufacturer webinars for continued education of products and services offered
- Maintain knowledge of manufacturer's online portals and quotation tools
- Technical aptitude of product offering to provide selection advise and specification information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Familiarity with various CRM platforms and Microsoft Office
- Ability to build rapport with clients
Deadline and detail-oriented
- Self-learner and problem solver; ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical fundamentals preferred
