MK personnel has reached out to me regarding a position. They are a recruiting firm and their client has an acct manager position open.
It's a bit weird as the recruiting firm is requiring me to come to their office in Houston to sit with them prior to discussing the position.

Does this sound legit?

Thats pretty standard with recruiting firms. They want to meet every candidate in person before submitting their resume to the client. However, its ok for you to inquire more about the opportunity before the hassle of going into their offices and meeting with them.

They are likely going to interview you and then if they feel you are a fit, they'll green light you to the hiring firm.

I've only ever had a recruiter do phone interviews but I guess they could do an in-person one too.

They are a legit firm in Houston for office support type roles - they've been around for a long time.
