I'm currently in oil and gas...have been for over 8 years now with the same service company...

Curious what the market is like in the Houston area whether it be oil and gas or another industry.

Very few HSE positions have been affected within the group I am in, but not willing to wait around for the layoffs to start impacting them. Our group has laid off persons each of the last 3 months.

I call on O&G HSE personnel and there has been several guys I know that have been laid off. Not as bad as the purchasing departments, but layoffs nonetheless. I have seen some HSE positions that have opened up recently on LinkedIn.

Outlook is not good, but i'm still hanging around so far.

There are HSE positions in Houston to be had. Search on indeed or work in Texas.
