Anybody in the industry have any insight into possible job openings? QA seems to be the standard entry-level position for someone with a B.S., with smaller companies having R&D positions available.

I'm open to any aspect of the industry, really just looking to get my foot in the door. Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated!

Where are you located? What specifically are you looking to do?

I work for a huge national grocery chain. So I know of a ton of food manufacturers out there.

Look into a company called Blencor. It's a company out of Spain making a debut in Sealy, TX. They just built a huge new plant out there. My good friend just moved here from Indiana to go to work for them.

AggieJen - I'm currently in College Station, graduating in August (Food Science B.S.). Prefer to work anywhere in Texas, but open to relocating elsewhere. Looking for QA, as that appears to be the main option with a B.S., but would also love to do R&D with a small company. I'd appreciate any help or advice you can offer.

Aggie Gumbo - I actually received on email on the Food Science listserv in regards to a QA position with Blencor. I'll be sending them my resume, as they appear to be a company I'd really enjoy working for. If you or your friend can offer any help or advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
