I would have to disagree. Most people in the upper middle class range (annual gross >$ 1M) in this country tend to be professionals; i.e., doctors, lawyers, some executives. If anything they are defined by high levels of education, and it takes more than a 3.0 to get a MBA, MD, or JD.
