and have you ever taken a class during this time? If so, how would you compare the work load compared to Summer semesters.

If such a class exists, I have never heard of it in my 6+ years of being a student.

Yes it does, but the only classes I know that are offered are some KINES classes

Maybe some majors offer courses, but A&M doesnt have it. Take a look in the Batt in May or November/December and you see CCCC and Blinn ads all over the place for mini-mesters.

Try a mini-mester at your local CC or Blinn if staying in B/CS. When I took one back in 01 it was a few hours a day and we were done in 3 weeks. Kind'a like summer school.

A real course in 2-3 weeks would suck absolutely... maybe for a CC course (not somewhere like Blinn) it would be ok.

very few minimester courses.

sometimes they are experimental or supplemental courses offered within a specific academic department.

you wont find standard courses offered in a "minimester" type format.

I don't know about between fall and spring. But they do offer several between the end of the spring semester and start of summer. Both of the ones I took were basic core requirement courses.

Last year I took a Construction Science mini-mester starting on Jan. 2 and finishing on Jan. 15ish. It was 8-5 most days, and outside in the cold. I can't say it was loads of fun, but its getting me my degree a semester earlier, and doing it in Jan. outside is better than May or August in my opinion.
