the averages for spring were high, and then the final came. it was not good. she definitely made up for things with the final. for whatever its worth, if your first three averages were high, be expecting a hard final.

S/He is right, that final was kind of rough. Not really that bad, but I didn't study very hard this week. It was all pretty fresh in my mind I just looked over some formulas and got a refresher on how to do most. I am positive I got a B for the class (I needed like a 40) but I needed an 86 to keep my A.... don't know if I got it or not. Oh well, I'll find out Sunday!

By the way, I'll second the notion that this class made me want to stay a Finance major. Her teaching wasn't the best, but the material definitely confirmed my decision (C's in Accounting and an A in Finance... I'd say it's pretty obvious). It's somewhat making me rethink my career options now.

The final was kind of hard, even if you study hard for it. I pulled an all nighter for the FINC final (had ACCT 315 right before it), and it was rough.

I still don't know how I made the grade I did unless I'm just a good guesser. There were about 7 out of 25 that I wasn't too sure on.

does she grade the two classes diffrent?

More confusing for me....B in Finance...B's in 229 and 230...A in 316

I think ill be fine with Finance though...

I dont know why people in 341 look down on us in 309. Im not a finance major. Sorry, but the only way I could take the class was with 309. Not everyone is in Mays, nor do they want to be.

I don't recall any kicking and screaming about this, and I can't imagine the quizes were that different. At any rate, you should stop pretending like finance is such a hard major, it's middle of the pack at best in terms of difficulty
