Keep up the good quiz average and be in a position to not need to do that good on the final...because in the spring it was a b****.

test 2 + spring final = the suck

One of the highlights of my test taking career is straight up guessing on the college problem and getting it right, with 0 work.

And man, we've gone over the Spring 2007 tests at TutorJohn... did she curve your class? Yalls tests were definitely the suck.

no curve in our spring 341 class...it wasnt that bad imo but im an accountant so i understand financials better than most

no curve....almost everyone i know thought the final was harder than they expected, but I would have done better if I'd studied T/F more. There were about 6 or so on there out of 25, and I studied the stuff very little

i was gunna buy a 10B just to bring it to class one day and ask her for help... then i saw one in best buy and all i could do was laugh and draw stares....

This class isn't so bad. I made an 88 and a 68 on the first two tests, yet managed to get an A....barley. The third test isn't bad at all, and the final wasn't that bad considering I had about a week to study for the final.

I'm a finc major, so maybe I put more into the class than other majors, but it's not impossible.

Just know how to use formulas, use the study guide from lou pots, and do old tests, and a B is easy to get. Heaven forbid we actually have to put some work into a 300 level course in the business school.

The formulas for this test are easier to remember. Its the effing theory that Im worried about.

I asked Gabe yesterday and he said this test doesn't have a lot of theory.. and we haven't studied much of it either.

Study your +/- CGY yields on bonds and interest rate theory. I'm doubting she's going to ask any on stocks (ie takeovers and crap like that). Another thing I'm going to look over right before I go is EAR type theory... like if she gives us some variables and then asks some questions about how to figure the periodic rate/nominal/EAR etc...

And we only have 20 questions... blah. Good luck.

HOLY SHEET.. for those in 309 today.. please tell me you were cracking up as much as I was. That guy sits a couple rows in front of me.. and everyone around him was like "he really just said that!?"

What did he say?

she knows him by name and picks on him. and she asked him why he didnt come to class two days ago and why he left after the quiz yesterday..

and he replied with "I had to get ready for the assbeat I was about to get". Whole class exploded in laughter. She laughed too and asked his last name. Its hard to explain, but man I wanted to just roll over I was laughing so hard. Her final reply was "Im gonna stop picking on you. You won today".

We got another free quiz today... we just had to draw something. I got 5 100s now for quiz grades... only need 2 more for a guaranteed 100 for a test grade.

thats crap because we werent supposed to have a quiz today. i felt like going to the rec instead.

also, is it only the 341 grades that are up? the 309 ones still show t1, q1-3.

Yeah, I definitely have to drop that class tomorrow. So the friday off is irrelevant. How the hell do people make 100s on the exam? There were tons!

I made an 88 on the first one and probably could've made a 100, it's not that hard. The difference between 309 and 341 she thinks comes from what she called everyone being in "verbal" majors, not any hard applied majors and that's why they are struggling. This class is not as hard as I thought it would be. Then again, I've never studied this much for a test.

Also, I don't think she gave a quiz to 309, it's just that 341 had really slim numbers so she rewarded us with a free 100. And it's not crap we got it, you guys get curves. That's probably what is taking so long for the grades to post, she has to figure out averages, look for hard questions to possibly throw out etc...

And Im an Ag Econ major, so Ive already had an applied finance class, and many classes where math and critical thinking come into play.

i get the feeling like she thinks business is the be-all end-all of majors, and everyone else sits on their arse and doesnt have to think for their degree. granted entc is not the hardest of the engr degrees, but i do have to think and apply myself.

I don't know how you'd get that feeling... it sort of feels the same with us. But she has three degrees in... you guessed it... Finance. So I happen to think she miiiight be a little biased in her opinions.

im doing about average. I have a B in the class right now. I'll probably end up taking the final to erase that C I got on the first test. All the theory just killed me. Ever since I took stat303, I cant do theory tests..

reading this thread, makes me wish i took this class during the summer instead of spring

htown I was told to do this a long time ago. Turns out to be a GREAT decision so far.
