Has anyone taken any of these classes. I need only these to get a minor in business. MGMT 209 is with Swim, MKTG309 is with Pride, FINC 309 is with Guyton.

I took 209 with Swim last fall and I'm currently taking MKTG 309 with DeWald. Swim tries to make his exams tricky up until the drop date to weed out the weak, he ends up giving a pretty big extra credit opportunity after the drop date and his last couple of test are not that bad. If you keep up in Marketing it should be pretty easy.

I heard mgmt 209 is way less gay then 309. I just have to take one of those classes along with 4 IDIS classes for pretty much the next 3 semesters.

I'm pretty sure you have to take both MGMT 209 and 309 for a business minor.

The thing that makes Swim's class hard is the way he gives the answer choices. A bunch of All of the above, A and C, none of the above. If you have everything memorized then it's not a problem, it's just when you tell yourself that you know enough and will be able to get by on the test that you run into trouble.

i thought swims class was easy and enjoyable but others hate it. its just what interests you.

i thought all business classes were a breeze (then again, all i have to compare them to is ELEN classes so thats not saying much)

mgmt 209 with swim was not bad at all. go to class and make sure u read all the summaries ( i didnt waste time reading the entire chapters after the first test)

finc 309 - work all the old tests. our tests were pretty much carbon copies of the old tests.

MGMT 309 is terrible - waste of time
MGMT 209 is pretty interesting
MKTG 309 is great with Dewald if you can take it from him

They were all mostly fun. I thought FINC was the hardest but none of them are unbearable if you go to class. Plus 4.0 and go does all those classes, so if you are lost or need a good review, go there before the exam, and you'll be fine. I have to say though, do not try to substitute 4.0 and go for going to class, especially MGMT209 and FINC 309. You may be able to get away with in for MKTG 309, but the other 2, you must attend class to pass.
