GEOL 101 is an EASY A! Believe me...The lab is ridiculously easy. I had Grossman, but do not know if he still teaches the class. Just my two cents on the core class.

Also, I think you need another class and GEOG 203 is easy also. I had Lafon. Very easy lab too.

I have very few classes that are scheduled back to back...

I have MILS and PSYC, which are literally across the street from each other.

Then I have HIST in Harrington, and ANTH which is in HRBB...what's that?

20 minutes isn't enough?

The first week or 2 of school, it isn't enough if you have to get from say the Chem building to the BioBio building. After things settle down, then it's not that big of a problem. Invest in a bicycle and use that.

GEOL 101 was one of my most difficult classes. The class was pretty hard but the lab instructer was terrible and really tough.

For my OCNG lab, I had a guy named Scott Hiller. He doesn't give any quizzes or tests. Just do the work as completion and it's an easy A. I have heard nightmare stories from other OCNG labs so be careful.

TEFB 273 is a coosh course per kids of my friends. Take on line or in class. Stock lectures...download and no real need to go to class. TEFB is a university diversity course and will count toward any major. You must do work in a Bryan school with the HOSTS program, but I understand this is very rewarding and worth the time. From what I hear, this is an easy A.

Never heard of HRBB but for future help check here: http://www.tamu.edu/00/map/ - there's a link at the bottom to look up by building

HRBB is the Bright Building where computer science and aerospace are housed. Its right across from the petroleum engr and chemistry buildings.

Musical- it looks like you did you your homework making your schedule. Good work. Better schedule than I had first semester. I learned quickly though how to best work the system (things mentioned in this thread)..

Frankly, the grade distributions do not support your point. I made A’s in a bunch of classes that I thought were really easy for ME, but I wouldn’t say in general that class is easy because:
-either for some reason I got lucky and got a good prof/lab teacher (for example a class where you sign up for “staff,” is a crapshoot a lot of times if you get a good one or you get some guy who can’t speak English)
-AND/OR I’m better than most at that particular subject

The ones which you found easy, as a result of the inflated grade distributions, are the one to recommend IMO.

Thanks. You make a good point as well about how you really have to prioritize based off ones unique situation.

Musical- I would look to add another filler hour- keep your eye on either:

AGLS 101
or
RPTS 101

Guaranteed 1 hour grade bumps (A).

or maybe KINE 199 as mentioned earlier (not guaranteed A, but very likely).
If you really want 15, then a three hour likely gradebump for Fish (they open a bunch of spots for freshman) is MGMT 105..

In any case, that schedule should get you off to a good start..

As far as getting around- learn the bus system. Being in the Corps, don't bother with a bike. Corps members don't bike to class.. At least as long as they have to wear a uniform to class.

Krammer is an awesome hist prof. A little harder than some of the others but a really great professor.

PHYS 201 IS NOT EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE A PHYSICS CLASS AT A&M UNLESS YOU ARE A PHYSICS/ENGINEERING/SOME MAJOR THAT REQUIRES PHYSICS!

Take GEOG 101, aka Rocks for Jocks. I hear it's the easiest science class out there.

I think you mean Geol 101.

I would argue that OCNG 101 is easier.

oh yea, my bad. Geol 101.

the point was not to take PHYS 201, even with Ford. Had Ford for physics, got a C, even though I studied harder for that class than any other class that semester.

And I'm a science major. This stuff comes easily to me, usually.

in any anth class you take the most important thing you can get is old notes/exams. anth profs hardly ever change their material, and if they do it doesn't change much. it will save you a ton of reading if you can find old materials.
