As part of the Beyond 150 strategic plan described by President Ballabina this week it was announced that TAMU will create a "hub-and-spoke" clinical network anchored by a Texas A&M-branded flagship teaching hospital in concert with a leading health and clinical partner.

A network of urban and rural health clinics across Texas would support this hub. We will develop a single, unified clinical care practice plan to manage all clinics and providers across health-related services, standardizing operations, improving billing cycles and enhancing negotiating power with payers. This level of coordination and strategic planning around our health enterprise will transform it from a collection of separate educational, research and service programs into an integrated academic health system. In doing so, we will pursue national prominence for our health enterprise and maximize its impact on the people of Texas, the nation and beyond.

According to the Legislative Appropriations Request submitted to the Texas Legislature that teaching Hospital will be located in Houston.
