Our school offers Spanish 1 in 7th grade and Spanish 2 in 8th grade. My oldest completed and the A's transferred to his transcript. My 7th grade twins are doing Spanish 1 and they just changed it to pass fail for high school credit, but no grade…a B or A is pass.

Does A&M acknowledge both for admission?

YES. Since these are HS credit courses, TAMU and other colleges will accept them.

this would be a good question to ask the corresponding high school counselor to verify since it can vary district to district, but it certainly does seem like a Spanish I and/or Spanish II of either A or B credit should transfer.

Some districts allow GPAs from middle school to count in the high school, but most do not. Either an A or B (and passing equivalent) should be good to go, but I'd ask a counselor to verify.

The questions pertained to college credit; if students take this course in middle school and it is listed in the high school course catalog, it will count as a high school credit. This in return will count toward college.

Whether it factors into a student's GPA is a whole other question.
