If you have a high school rising junior or senior who is interested in a career in construction science, urban planning, architecture or landscape architecture, check out Camp Arch at A&M. Note that you have to apply and not everybody is accepted, so there is some level of selectivity.
Camp ARCH - Texas A&M University College of Architecture
My son just did the construction science camp and it was a positive experience. They stay in the dorms for a week, get good exposure to their prospective major, work on a project and present it to the parents on the last day. The food for lunch and dinner was catered from different area restaurants and was pretty good (breakfast at the Commons). The camp cost $1,500 but they gave everybody who completed the camp a $1,000 scholarship if they are accepted to A&M and enroll in their corresponding major. My son is dead set on A&M and construction science so really the camp cost us $500, which would just about cover the catering, dorms, transportation to construction sites, etc. Some of the architecture campers even won $4k scholarships.
There are a lot of complaints from parents about A&M being indifferent to applicants, but here is an example of A&M rolling out the red carpet for interested students. My other son attended the STEM camp through the College of Engineering and it was also a good experience.
