So I'm curious if anyone knows what A&M's rationale is on not accepting SAT super scores?

Just overall, A&M's admissions process seems to be outdated compared to other schools. However, not accepting super score just seems nuts - MIT accepts super score.

One of the dumbest things we do, it only hurts our rankings and provides no benefit. Texas doesn't do it either but almost no one else does.

Didn't know what that was. My son got a 35 his only try, and didn't get in to A&M. Tech offered him some $$, so he's out there. The postcards from Lubbock are hilarious. Makes College Station look like the Metroplex.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

Holy crap, that is awful. A&M needs to have auto admits for ultra high ACT and SAT scores to make up for some of the disadvantage kids outside of the top 10% who attended really competitive schools face.

What was your son's intended major and when did he apply? I'm looking at Texas A&M acceptances at my kids' school and I'm noticing that kids who are not 10% but by who have scored well on the SAT test usually get in, But some , surprisingly, didn't And I think those kids applied "late" or to highly competitive majors and also late and, possibly, also "late".

I am just looking in Scoir, which their school uses for counselors to upload data.
