Howdy Ags,

I am a senior studying electrical engineering and minoring in computer science. Unfortunately, I am being dismissed from the ECEN department due to getting a D in a class I was retaking while on probation.

I am pretty in the dark here. Due to the university going on break for Christmas, I was not able to get much communication with advisors. Additionally, there was a form I filled out for more information about my options going forward, but never got anything back. They are available starting on January 2nd, however that is the day my appeal is due so not much help there.

I have made a bunch of stupid, easily avoidable mistakes and dug myself quite the hole, but looking for any advice or experience with the appeal process that might help me fix this. I really want to get my degree and be an Aggie.

Thank y'all and Merry Christmas!

(This is on my dad's account)

You're already an Aggie regardless.

I have no advice about your academic situation.

Best advice I can give you is keep trying different avenues if the first one doesn't work. You should take responsibility but also have a plan or explanation as to why it happened and how you will fix it. They want you to graduate and there are folks that want to help, you just have to keep trying. Good luck, just stay positive and work the problem.

Go talk to the advisor as soon as humanly possible, they will do their best to help you graduate I have no doubt
