Yes, you may audit a course with faculty's permission.

Many profs will allow it if you just want to listen to a specific lecture and ask in advance with a reasonable reason. There are more rigorous rules for actually auditing a class. You can't audit first year classes and other specific limited enrollment courses. For all others you need a form with the permission of the prof and/or dept head or dean.

In a small class, probably not, but in a huge lecture hall with 300 people? No one would ever know you weren't supposed to be there.

It's a guess but Educational Leadership was the easiest at SHSU. The College of Education always ranks last in terms of standard scores.
