Howdy TexAgs!
I'm a 22 year old student. I'll give y'all a little background before my question. I'm an SATX native, and started college at UTSA. I did a year of football, and two full academic years, but didn't do so hot with grades. I took a break and enlisted with the Army reserves and I'm currently in Virginia. I've enrolled as a full time at a local community college to boost my grades a bit, and I'm doing excellent after taking a break for the army and maturing a bit. If I receive all A's for this semester (very high probability), I'll have a 2.6 cumulative GPA. I also have quite a few transferrable credits I've received due to my combat medic training with the army.
Now for my question: what can I do to better increase my chances of admission? Do I even have a decent chance at being admitted? I know my first go at college at UTSA wasnt stellar by any means, but I've made great improvements since then and have been showing good academic standings. Is there anything I should be doing now to make my application better? Is there any specific point of contact i should reach out to better my chances? Is there a military admissions department that could help out?
Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it!
