If a student is waitlisted is it most likely they will not find out until decisions are made May 1st?

If waitlisted can they go back and opt for Blinn Team (she already has 30 hours)

Do they have any other option at this point with TAMU?

If it were your child would you recommend that they go ahead and pay a housing deposit at another school?

A&M does not have a waitlist. Not until after the December deadline does A&M know all the competition for freshmen review admits. Since top 10 and Academic Admits can also wait and apply right before the deadline, it is not known how much room there is for review admits until after the deadline has passed. Review admits may hear a decision anytime but they have been told more likely after the first of the year. Hopefully decisions will be finished by mid-March.

The May 1 date is the usual date when accepted applicants have to sign up for their New Student Conference and thereby notifying A&M they intend to enroll.

Taking into account what they wrote on their application, A&M is the one who makes the decision whether to offer Blinn TEAM or not. If they do not receive any type of offer from A&M, they can try to transfer at a later date.
