How many people are withholding donations because of growing enrollment (engineering 25 by 25, etc.) and the direction of the university academically?

simple answer - none except you and the other sock accounts that keep reposting the same diatribe against A&M leadership

Here's a question: why would anyone who hopes their child can get into A&M want to decrease the kid's chances by capping enrollment?

Or a better question - why did it take all of 16 minutes for this thread to get started after a virtually identical post on the "80,000 students" thread in the A&M football forum?

If not us, then who?

Well that's quite dismissive and un constructive. By this logic, shouldn't we just let all legacies in, even if it means a campus of 200,000 students?

I hope my future children can get into A&M, but I hope when that time comes, the competitiveness of the applicant pool is such that getting a degree from A&M actually matters.

Are you saying that in case my kid is too dumb to get in to a selective and world-leading TAMU that I ought to cut its legs and hope it accepts everyone simply so my child can get in?

I don't have kids yet, but I would want my kid to go to Texas A&M because it offered a similar, if not better, experience to what I had, not just because its name is "Texas A&M."
