Source - my MHA is from A&M's HSC SRPH & I had to take the intro class for that major.
Have a few moments to chat via email/phone about your experience with the SRPH program?
I'm researching the MPH - Environmental with emphasis in Occ. Health, and have a few questions about the program that might not be answered by the faculty.
What intro class are you referring to?
While the vast majority of my MHA grad classes were healthcare management (TAMHSC HLTH Policy & MGMT Dept) I was required to take one intro class from the MPH degrees: biostat, epidemiology, social & behavioral hlth, hlth mgmt intro & EOH (Environmental & Occupational Health).
I graduated from SRPH in May 2012, had my job sealed in early March 2012 (2.5 mos before walking), & started work one week after graduating. I had multiple interviews across the US.
The MHA program is 57 hours vs the 39 (if I recall correctly) in the MPH programs. Regardless, they all focus heavily on job placement. I know EOH grads do well also.
Nothing but positive things to say about TAMSC SRPH. Shoot me a PM. We can talk more man. Good luck.
