Hello,

Has anyone else who applied to Mays for Summer 09 as a transfer student gotten their decision yet? This seems like very short notice (summer 1 starts 6/1). I've spoken to both the office of admissions and the folks at Mays and get a very ambiguous "hopefully you'll know at the end of April or in May" response.

Perhaps I just needed to vent. I'm just so excited about becoming a member of the Aggie family. Best of luck to all other applicants!

Decisions for both summer and fall transfer students generally go out around the middle of May.

Does that include the applicants who had less than the 24 hour minimum at the time of their application? I had around 30, but just wondering as I know some kids who had less than 24.

And btw, what kind of class times can the transfers expect to be getting? (late night, early morning...?)

When I transferred in it was horrible. Almost every class was filled that I would come up with. This was in the old days so I had a class schedule book and the advisor was using this old school system to see if each class I picked was available.

I ended up taking one of the worst professors at A&M twice since current students at the time knew better than to take his class and it was still open. Then, I could only get into 4 regular classes and 1 PE total that were in my degree plan. They told me that I wanted to take more hours to see if Blinn had anything for me.

Yeah I found the online schedule of classes. Kids aren't dumb lol... All the good teachers and good times (late morning, early afternoon) are filled lol. There are a few classes that aren't filled with some decent teachers that I hope don't fill .

Btw, my final email has been sent Jayson.

There is a person who is on step four as of today. If you check your "howdy" page under the "MyRecord(FALL 09)" tab, and look under the financial aid box on the right. Supposidy its updated before the ais is updated. The guy first saw that he recieved aid then his ais went to step 4 two days later.

Financial Aid is completely separate from Admissions. Seeing a change from Financial Aid does not mean anything for admission.

Kris, if you go to A and M's Website http://www.tamu.edu/, the very first option in the very top menu is Howdy Portal. Alternatively, you can just go to https://howdy.tamu.edu/cp/home/displaylogin and log in with your current credentials for AIS.

Congrats! I thought May's would be the last to know. I called the engineering dept. and they said they haven't started reviewing applicants yet??

Where does it say if you were accepted into your first choice? My friends says she is in but I can't see anywhere for sure which major she got into.

You need to wait to receive your letter from admissions. In your letter, we let you know what major you were accepted to.
