Keep in mind that while having a good prof is important, your own effort contributes just as much to your success in the class. You can do well with any prof if you are willing to put in the time and effort to actually study. If a less "loved" profs class or lab time fits your schedule better, you'll likely have more success than the one that everyone adores but has the lab that meets at some horrible time.

As for pick-a-prof just remember...

The kid that made an A loves the prof
The kid that made an F hates the prof
The kid that made a C, likely has the most objective review

Edit... Best of luck to you. Study hard, have some fun, and never forget what a special place this is.

take brown for 107 and do A+ before each test...they always go over the hardest problem on the test!

Use Ranger's advice-

play the odds- whoever gives out the most A's statistically is probably most likely to give you an A. Also, check out what people say about professor's as well on pickaprof. Unfortunately, as a freshman many of the easy professor's classes are filled up long before now.

For physics, I would suggest Ford. He teaches both 201 and 202. I would also highly suggest attending A+ or 4.0 if you find yourself lost at any point. It got me through physics!

DO NOT take Natowitz for chem 107. I beat the exam average by 15% and still ended up a C. People were spending 8 hours on the weekly homeworks and only getting 75%. The guy at 4.0 didn't know how to do all of it, and didn't have time to teach us all the stuff he did know that was in the homeworks. He even threw in a couple free extra sessions and couldn't finish.

Dr. Duller, I don't know if he teaches those two physics classes, but knows his stuff and he's funny as hell

some of the 'worst' professors I had were the best for my true education: I learned the material by teaching myself.

Professors don't tag along after you get the diploma.

While I can understand trying to get an 'easy A' for classes outside your field, don't cheat yourself otherwise. For example, MATH 251 is a lot harder if you didn't truly understand 151 or 152(even if you did get and 'A' [and yes, that's possible...]).

allstar-Did you take Mr Grisham's class recently? I took him for 104 and 201 and he was the most awesome prof ever. I was sad when I learned he left last year; he transferred out to get his master's.

But maybe he came back?

You're doing it wrong. 4.0 is for business students, and A+ is for engineering students.
