I'm an engr major and this is a class i can take for a technical elective. It seems to be the best fit schedule wise, but is it a difficult course?

good course, but Swim is tough...expect a test every two weeks...and you will have to study hard for it.

you are an engineering major, why are you worring about a little mgmt class for? it should be cake.

Because I have lots of real courses, since I am graduating in may, so I don't want to have to have some business class taking up time i need for senior design

Im in mgmt 211. I have an A and I dont even go to class 1/4th the time and I read the week of the test. But some people I know go to class, read on time, and have Bs and Cs.

see i have just heard such contrasting opinions. I would more than likely not make it to class often since it is on west campus and I try to stay away from there.

Is this for the minor in business? If so, I believe you can take MGMT 211 at a community college and use it in lieu of MGMT 209. I know that's true for economics with a minor in business.

no westtx its for a technical elective, I could take it at a community but I am graduating in may so that is not an option for me. I can take ether mgmt 209 or mktg 309

Take marketing with Dewald. Much better class. I am not sure if he still teaching it though... Either way, marketing will be more interesting and should be the same or less amount of work.

it's a good amount of reading.
If you're an engr major, it won't be your hardest class. But I wouldn't take it if you're taking something like 16 hours. Too much work for a class with 500 people in it.

Tests are made so you have to know the material 100% - take it if you have an easier semester.

Should I take MKTG309, MGMT209, or MGMT309?

I'm taking CPSC311, MATH304, and ECEN220 as well.

mgmt 309 if you can get the guy that isnt abelson (haley possibly), otherwise mktg

The reason you're getting mixed opinions is because some people just aren't good at taking his tests. People who study the information way more thoroughly than I do often don't do very well. A lot of it is just the way you're wired.

On the flip side, a lot of those same people are outscoring me by leaps and bounds in acct 229, which I find to be the much more difficult class.

i thought swim's class was a breeze, i never read the text, just went to class and 4.0 and go before exams and made an A easily

The way people tend to talk about it, it's the hardest class ever and Swim is the worst teacher/biggest dooche ever.

I enjoyed the class and did well with minimal studying...as an engineering student, it should be a cake walk

I like swim. he can seem a little cold in class, but one of my friends said Swim gave him some free legal advice during his office hours. He also places a big emphasis on charity and the community.
