Guys, it's even down to air rifles as being a threat.

Here's the official statement:
https://www.nsw.gov.au/legal-and-justice/gun-buyback

And the commercial media coverage of the story shows that:
Maximum of 4 firearms per licence holder, or up to 10 for primary producers and sports shooters.
https://www.kennyspring.com.au/publications/314/nsw-firearms-law-reforms-2025-what-licence-holders-need-to-know

Hey look mate, i'm not even a collector and I'd violate their rules. I guess unless I started competing in gun competitions. Apparently that's the only legitimate reason to have more than 4 guns.

Somewhere along the way, they started cutting the balls off baby boys in Australia. Nutless men are the norm there now.

$450 for an air rifle seems like an arbitrage opportunity

Seeking LP investors for my fund. Fund thesis is buy air rifles in the USA for like $150 and let the Australian government buy them back for $450 a pop. Standard 2 and 20 fees apply

At least their language is clear.

Firearm holders are reminded not to attend a police station with guns or ammunition without an appointment.

'Surrender application' to make a 'surrender appointment.'

Democrats salivate reading this drivel.

This is a great way to ensure the Islamists are the only ones with guns.

Never, ever give up your guns. That's the line that cannot be crossed.

I lived in Queensland from 91-94 took a shotgun and a .223 the authorities when they received them checked the trigger weight on .223 too light wouldnt let me adjust had to go to gunsmith. While it was being adjusted my house got broke into. Told official when i picked up he said lucky gun wasnt there I said robber was lucky gun wasnt there. Started a **** storm. Later Was qualifying in the air force with the 9mm. It was scary watching them shoot. I stayed a long distance away and shot when they left and set two consecutive records. What im saying in my whole flying squadron very very few could handle a firearm and this was prior too the great confiscation program around 95

The premise is 'public safety'.

With that in mind, what's the difference between 4 guns, or 12 guns?

1 is enough to shoot someone. I don't understand how they decided on 4. How is that safer than 3, or 5, or 16?

It's just dumb, arbitrary numbers that let them slowly whittle away freedom.
