I read that was actually a distraction, and he really went via Venezuela to FL. Not sure what's real at this point.
Quote:

In Araruama, Flavio won the first round with more than double the votes of Lula.

Araruama in the second round:
Flvio won 11 votes
Lula won 5,581 votes.

This means that, in a city where Flavio Bolsonaro won with MORE THAN DOUBLE the votes of Lula in the first round, the current president had 507x more votes than Flavio in the second.

The same pattern repeats in the neighboring cities, which are also very bolsonaristas.

The mathematical aberration of this is astounding.

Checks out as much as Bidenomics ever did.

That really sucks if true. Would be the only win by a leftist down there recently but in the largest, most influential country.

I'm going to guess massive cheating happened as well.

Tought to know...Brazilians are not known for their intellect.

This is going to lead to some interesting back-and-forth with Lula.

Rubio will probably tell him to **** off.

Bolsanaro smart to flee. They were going to jail him for having audacity of running against the communists.

Authoritarian, indeed. You know who you are.

Yup, very smart. AND it saves the President from having to deploy Seal Team 6 or Delta to go rescue him.

That is because we have an actual political asylum process in this country. And if followed, it is perfectly legal. Unlike all the third world trash that flood our borders every year encouraged and enabled by degenerate liberals and Democrats

Nothing says saving democracy like jailing all your political opponents. Worked out well for Hugo Chavez for a decade or so. Not so much for Maduro. Let's see how it works out for him Cotton.

Is what is happening in Brazil good? Prosecuting your political opponents?

Ridiculous take is ridiculous. And sad.

Trump is trying to lock down the entirety of the Americas from communist / Chinese rule. Brazil is the last big boy left in South America now that he shut off USAid funding for the commies.

They could try but I have no doubt their supreme court would disallow it

It's confusing to me. They have a TSE (supreme court) and a superior election court (SEC), the latter is supposed to oversee election decisions, and a lower TSE judge stepped in and did the 2 hour order after Bolsonaro voting locations basically were closed.

I think an 'annulment' is not out of the question, but I don't know their process at all.

The conservatives also won a functional super majority in both chambers of their legislature already.
Quote:

In the first round, the opposition and center-right achieved a crushing victory, snatching control of both chambers from the left.

Here's how the new legislative power map looks:

SENATE (81 seats | Majority: 41)
Right: 48 seats (59.3%)

Absolute majority consolidated!

Others: 33 seats (40.7%)

CHAMBER OF DEPUTIES (513 seats | Majority: 257)

Right: 303 seats (59.1%)

Center: 86 seats (16.8%)

Left: Only 124 seats (24.2%)

What does this mean? That any reform, budget, or law will have to pass through a gigantic wall of opposition containment.

The new government faces a historic Congress that won't give it any truce.

This probably means that Luna declares martial law and shuts down the legislature.

Ask your side why we spent billions of tax payer dollars over the years funding insurrection and far left ideology the world over via USAID.

While your at it, ask the Biden administration why he got involved in Brazil''s last election in favor of communist Lula.

The democrats tried to do the same with Trump and his supporters. Democrats seemed to have loved the idea. I am guessing that many of those who vote democrat would therefore agree with the idea of prosecuting political opponents. They might even agree with the Pol Pot method of killing 25% of your country's citizens in order to maintain political control. Something like Pol Pot's regime, of course, is one of the communist utopias that democrats want to bring to the U.S.

Zelensky is officially on my sheet list. No wonder Trump has chosen to work with Putin,

Houston in it for peace he's being paid so that Europe can use Ukraine in their proxy war and the poor people of Ukraine and some of the soldiers in Russia are giving the ultimate price

When even the communist party is defending (or is that now called simping?) a leader from political persecution, it really is quite incredible.

Quote:

Flvio Bolsonaro is being persecuted because he received nearly 60 million votes, said Rui Costa Pimenta. See what he said in the Analysis of the 3rd:

"The persecution has nothing to do with the defense of democracy. It is political persecution. Why is Flvio Bolsonaro being persecuted? Because he received nearly 60 million votes. Because he has a majority, he has a very significant bloc in the Senate and Congress. He can secure the impeachment of certain STF ministers. So, the persecution is because of that; it's a power play."

Reminder that Lula was installed by the USAID/CIA spooks.

ETA: Per grok he's supposedly on this plane headed to Miami, to land around 8:18 CST this am.
Quote:

Argentine official confirmation: Argentina's National Migration Directorate stated that Flvio Bolsonaro, his wife, and two daughters entered the country via the Tancredo Neves border bridge (from Foz do Iguau, Brazil, into Puerto Iguaz) at about 22:50 on October 27 with valid travel documents. They then boarded a private flight operated by Baires Fly bound for Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Flight tracking: The aircraft is a Gulfstream G400 registered as LV-JQW (operated by Argentine charter company Baires Fly). It landed in Guayaquil after the border crossing, then departed for Miami-Opa Locka (OPF). As of recent FlightAware data, it is en route from Guayaquil (GYE) to OPF with an expected arrival around 9:18 AM EDT on October 28.
Brazilian and other outlets (including CNN Brasil) have reported that this is the plane associated with Bolsonaro and his family, based on Argentine reporting and flight plans.

So, that's good.

It will turn to ashes, but they will never give up power just like in Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea. As long as the elite lefties are living large, they couldn't care less about their serfs.

This election was too close for Lula. They had to find out how far behind they were at the end of regulation and then declare OT to give themselves time to stuff the ballot box with enough votes to win. They will now put in place measures to see that this never happens again.

I do not understand. Why doesn't the elected Brazilian president just go after his opponent with frivolous lawsuits, like the Democratic party does in the U.S.?
