Hopefully these folks were hired to assist in ancillary processes like integrated testing, change management, etc... and not actually patching the code.

I just started a new job at a company that is now using AI to generate user test cases for quality assurance testing.

Since I am in IT governance, part of my responsibilities are reviewing how AI is used to automate things (both business and IT sides) and what human oversight is in place over any usage.

I think my job is pretty safe for a while.

"Post Mythos" is a term that will be used as a demarcation.

Run AI as a vulnerability scanning tool to identify SW issues based on published CVEs. You can then use it to write a tool to exploit the CVE.

Time to exploit is almost real-time.

Get ready for Virtual Patching, where you create a WAF of sorts to protect vulnerable SW until you can replace HW that is EOL.

It will take lots of manpower. The GSIs ... specifically the TWITCH (TCS, WiPro, Infosys, TechMahindra, Cognizant, and HCL) to implement patching and SW updates.

SW will need to be patched much more n frequently.
