Suspect had a long rap sheet. Illegal alien with gang ties. Pursued by ICE for the last 2 years, I believe. While I'm not sure of the details around the shooting, including the fate of the suspect, he was fleeing at the time with a 5 or 6 year old child in the car with him. Child was not hurt.

NY media and politicians are going wild. Mamdani with an impromptu speech last night that was nothing short of vile. Said, "ICE has killed way more people than they have saved", or something very similar.

Protests emerged immediately. This one could get hot, especially with the mid-terms looming.

It is unclear whether LEO knew there was a kid in the car. But the suspect knew there was a kid in the car. It was his choice to put that child in danger.

And lost in the shuffle of all of this is the fact that this guy was arrested by NYPD in December of 2023, but the CIty refused to turn him over to ICE and released him under their sanctuary policies.

Had they done so, this guy would have already been deported and not here to be shot this week. So this shooting is on Eric Adams and the libs of NYC.

Mamdani should be reminded of that.
