The best thing to happen in the world of social media is, well, anything, but negative news gets the feels going and the wallets opening.

Odds are he'll make more now than he would've as an opening act.

Worse case scenario is his name is out there (see F16) when before even people like me who listened to his early songs, forgot he existed, and thanks to social media, even people like him can bounce back from this.

What is this "Palestine" he is referring to? I do not see it on the map or on Google Earth.

also key to note that Macklemore has been essentially irrelevant since he split with Ryan Lewis. it is telling he has not had a major (or even notable minor) hit since then. Guess we know who the main talent in that relationship was.

Billionaires are the only reason he has a job. From the production of his albums to his promotion, to his concerts could only happen for billionaires. And the guy is worth about 30 million himself. Is he upset at Taylor Swift and Beyonce for them being billionaires?

Maybe if he wasn't an antisemitic Nazi-like piece of garbage it wouldn't have happened. supposedly, he even puts on masks sometimes with really big noses. Rants about Jews like Hitler. And then seeing Ed Sheeran apologize for this piece of filth?

When all this first started being reported, I wondered what the hell a Macklemore even was. So I looked it up. No wonder I never heard of him, I don't tend to know much about rappers nor anyone who goes by only one name.

So there was this guy pretty much known only as Elvis, this woman named Cher, another woman named Madonna, a guy called Bono, this guy called Prince, another woman named Beyonc, and those are just off the top of my head.

Odd deal. Seems like he hung Ed Sheeran out to dry...Sheeran is a massive artist and I would guess most Americans could not name a single Macklemore song other than Thrift Shop from over a decade ago. I would think being invited to tour with Sheeran would have been a career boost for Macklemore.

But instead, he used the platform Sheeran gave him to get political, blew up Sheeran's tour, got a bunch of publicity, and now doing his own mini tour.

Generally, I am fine with people speaking their mind, but using a concert, especially as an opening act people are NOT paying money to see, to get preachy and political is lame as hell.
