I'm sure this will make the local libs upset.

But seriously, we might get as many as 20 protesters showing up.

Quote:

Secretary Hegseth will deliver remarks to the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University and tour the Veterans Resource Center. Secretary Hegseth will attend the Texas A&M vs. University of Kentucky football game, where the university will honor POW/MIA.

Kinda cool to show off Kyle Field (and the Corps) to bigwigs like this.

Everything upsets them so who gives a flying flip. When I was in college, I barely even paid attention to politics, with these kids get so riled up at social media and end up parroting things they don't even understand, it's ridiculous.

Let them whine.
If you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me.

Very cool to have a cabinet secretary at Kyle (in addition of course to Secretary Rollins who is at every game). A little surprised he didn't come for the red white and blue game or the camo game. Maybe he will enjoy it so much that he will come back for the camo game vs Arkansas.

Would so awesome if he flew in an E-4B, but probably will be a C-40.

I would love to meet him again and show my support. I was able to talk with him in Tulsa about 8 years ago. He saw my Ranger Tab license plate on the front of my Jeep and asked me about my Army experience. We talked Army leadership, deployments and small talk about the biscuits and gravy.

The Department of War confirmed Secretary Pete Hegseth will travel to Texas, with stops planned in Austin and College Station.

It's awesome that Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth is attending the Kentucky vs Texas A&M game as part of Hegseth's ongoing "Arsenal of Freedom" tour, which has focused on America's military, defense industry and national security. My best friend and I will be going to the game too.

I feel like he really should prioritize other issues that are going on in the world that are actively terrible than coming to a football game. There's a reason why he's up for impeachment

Oh...JFC...

I see you don't understand that people can multi-task.

But, then...since you started your post with "I feel like", I should have actually known that.

There's a lot of stuff going on/fixin to start in and around College Station that directly ties to DoW interests beyond football. But by all means, cry harder.

I just saw SecWar Hegseth speak at USSTRATCOM in Bellevue, Nebraska, 3 weeks before I retired out of that fantastic organization. He was amazing. He supports the troops and the mission. I don't know what to think of people who hate an America loving patriot, so I'll keep my thoughts to myself on those folks. God Bless SecWar Hegseth and God Bless America!!

You know Obama came here in 2009. Would you have said the same thing about him? Didn't think he had "other" things to do in the world?

I didn't like Obama, but you know what I did? Well, I was taking photos for the Corps of Cadets at the time over at Duncan, just feet away from him, but even if I hadn't been, I would've been perfectly fine with him coming to town. He was the President of the United States. I didn't get upset, I didn't throw a hissy fit, and I didn't say that he shouldn't be coming. Can't say that of liberals today.

You do realize that President's, Secretary of State, defense secretaries, congressman, ambassadors, etc. make visits to college campuses all the time, have forever. These people usually can multitask very well and still stay on top of the country's crisis, even when they're traveling, which they do every day, even if it isn't for a university.

But for some reason, this particular one bothers you.

That's pretty weird.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the House is out of session until after the upcoming election so he's not up for impeachment.

It's a great honor to have the Secretary of War come you our University to recognize POW/MIAs and bring a measure of recognition to A&M's role in training leaders for our military and our national defense. Sorry that bothers you so much.

What if you love America but want gas to be less then 2 dollars a gallon? Attacking Iran for Israel has made us a weaker nation. We have fled our bases in the middle East and lost ctitical infrastructure. Nothing about Iran controlling the strait makes our nation stronger. Abandoning and causing problems for our oil producing Allies does not make our country stronger. Anyone who believes we are stronger since Feb 28th loves Trump so much they can't see the truth.

I'm not a fan of Hegseth at all (as a person), and I'm uncertain of his job performance.

But he's just doing the same thing all politicians have done for years - making public appearances to support their party. He shouldn't be criticized for this IMO.

It makes total sense for Hegseth to visit us.

What if you didn't agree with spending $60 billion a year on Iran for the last 50 years and you wanted the band-aid ripped off? Does that make me an agent of Israel? Also, who was abandoned besides the Saudis because they wanted to risk our pilots and planes instead of theirs?

I'd love to meet Hegseth or Trump or anyone in his cabinet for that matter. I'd shake their hands, get photos, thank them for their service and wish them all the success going forward.

We are in the running for getting the Jet Propulsion lab. How awesome would that be for our beloved University?
