Amazing what happens when people like Massie, Cornyn, McConnell, Tillis, etc. either lose their primary or decide not to run for re-election because they would lose their primary. The information I saw was that this was a terrible error. The building had once been part of a military compound but was repurposed to a school. Some new lists had removed it as a legitimate military target but it was selected from an older list that still showed it as a military structure. Some Intel service bureaucrat somewhere made a terrible error.

Now that I think about it, they might have the votes. What does it take, five Republicans to join democrats?

The current breakdown is 218 R - 214 D - 1 Ind. - 2 vacancies, so if every Democrat supported the proposal, all it would take is Massie plus one other Republican to vote with them to have passed the measure, assuming the Independent voted with the Democrats.

When you join with the dems to "hold Rs accountable" when Rs are in power, but turn and look the other way for the entire tenure of a D president, your 83% conservative score doesn't look all that impressive. He cared so much about the Epstein stuff that he has done absolutely nothing about it since he lost his primary race.

Ultimately, he didn't satisfy his constituents in his district that he was representing their interests and he was voted out. You can blame that on Israel or Trump or whoever you want. But he is not going to be a House rep anymore because he failed to convince his constituents that he was representing their interests.
