At this point, it doesn't make any difference whether McConnell is back or not. The House is now out of session and won't be back until after the election. Nothing is going to get done for the next two months anyway.

This isn't a party issue. The last few years, we have seen several politicians from both parties staying in office well past the age they could serve effectively. Obviously Biden was the worst, but the underlying problem is not unique to Democrats.
