It's been inescapable for a while that the local affiliates of the alphabet networks are smaller versions of the propagandist national nightly news.

Still I tried watching the local news recently, just for the weather, but found I was mistaken for trying again. It was pretty good initially, but the meteorologist that just left for a larger city was a pretty good forecaster and an Aggie to boot. Then I was treated to the "Chief" Meterologist at this station explaining how the Nepal flood was due to global warming, and this was several days after the disaster so there's no telling how many days he repeated his global warming bed wetting fantasy.

The latest straw was a local Meat Market closing. The store was way too big to begin with and they just weren't getting enough business to stay open. But, the intrepid "reporters" got to the bottom of the real reason for the closure. Seems the owner thought all the ICE agents and the threat of deportations were scaring his customers away. That evil Trump won't even let illegals shop in our town.

Suffice it to say, I won't be watching ANY local news any more. I'll get my info elsewhere.

Yeah, it gets pretty exhausting after a while. Every day there's some new outrage story getting pushed around, and social media doesn't help. Half the time I'm more annoyed by the social media ad scam stuff that keeps popping up than the actual news. Feels like everyone is just trying to get clicks these days.

Few years ago I had Spectrum for television (during biden's admin) ...every time turned the tv on the default was Spectrum News One.

That "news" station reported some sob story feat. an illegal or "asylum" seeker all the time.

Never reported the other side of the story... about the costs, impact to America of unchecked migration.

The day I switched from Spectrum was a good day ... I still see bits of their one-sided biased "reporting" on the monitors at the gym.

Do we really know what's even happening here? I saw announcement that we deported more people in June and July than we ever have (in terms of one month numbers). I would assume people are still being deported in relatively high numbers; just not in numbers we would really like to see.

The dumpster dived into his background and broadcast he had a checkered past with a dismissed domestic incident and was behind in his rent. Meanwhile the 11 other jurors, several of whom likely had clear agendas to support her, have never had their personal lives examined for their biases or foibles.
