As an Austin resident, I am glad there is another Buc-ee's location in San Marcos. The San Marcos Buc-ee's location is for southbound traffic from Austin, and the New Braunfels location is for northbound traffic from San Antonio.

Yeah -- that's on me. I should have said Libs love spelling, although Libs do love grammar, too. The word you were looking for is "paid", unless said employees are doing some work on a boat.

It was pure chaos during the remodel and straight out of the apocalypse on Sundays during hispanic shopping day. It amazes me that Buda, Kyle, San Marcos have been in an HEB drought area, while New Braunfels has three large stores and Cibolo has two. At least they are building the new one at McCarty so that should help some of the local congestion. A city person told me that Kyle will never get a second one, and I am starting to believe him.

I won't share my source, as 'they' are on the inside of HEB. But....

Kyle rocks it...everyone knows that. However, the remodel only got them so far. They'd love to expand it, but don't have that ability.

Don't be surprised if HEB builds a new, larger HEB in Buda in the near future.
