46 whole miles? That wouldn't even cover one of my errand days.
I guess the target audience with people that barely drive.

Olivier Francois, CEO of the Fiat brand, called it a new chapter for Fiat in America. This is a dramatic shift away from performance and toward more purpose-driven transportation...
Fiat says owners will be able to install a Low Speed Vehicle conversion kit by the end of summer 2026…
That upgrade raises the maximum speed to 25 mph (40 km/h), allowing the Topolino to qualify as an LSV and operate on roads with speed limits of 35 mph (56 km/h) or less. The kit also adds a rearview mirror, a backup camera, and a pedestrian alert system, all at no extra cost.
Ideal for commuters in residential areas. One could conceivably live in Pebble Creek and take the side roads to work at A&M using this.
You know that "taking the side roads" will not happen. These toys will be driving down Texas Ave at 25mph. It happens now with scooters.

That is a testosterone free design. Must be gay of a 13 year old girl to drive it.

"What … is that?" a driver of a luxury sedan exclaimed at a busy intersection. "Is that a real car?" a student in this college town asked. "Aww," said countless passersby.
Indeed, the Fiat Topolino-a $15,000 electric microcar that tops out at 25 miles an hour-is a real car that Americans can buy right now. A Ford Fusion driver who sped by me in a left-hand turn lane of a 35 mph road may disagree.

"This is so not functional," said Alexa LaBella, 21, after jetting across a busy street to get a closer look at a Topolino, which translates to "little mouse" in Italian.
But so far, demand has exceeded expectations. Fiat, which initially shipped 300 Topolinos to the U.S., says 30% of its dealers are signed up to sell the pint-size car.

Yet another EV product solution desperately searching for a problem to solve. Never really had a chance with it being a Fiat and all.

there aren't enough gay men on the planet to make that a viable product.

Don't they already make an electric golf cart?

Fiat is learning as it goes on where Topolino may take hold. Waterhouse says a dealer in the St. Louis area placed an order for several, prompting Fiat to find out why they thought it had a chance of success. The dealer explained there was a retirement community of Italian immigrants where many residents drove golf carts. They wanted the Topolino

The Topolino starts at $14,000. Maximum speed is 19 mph, with an estimated range of 46 miles.
It's not street legal, but it's perfect for golf courses, light residential traffic, or beaches.
It's basically the perfect EV. 8 feet long, two passengers, and doors are optional.

Dunno about that. Don't forget that the Smartcar actually happened...
