Same thing that has always happened when you get drunk college students in a close space. They do stupid stuff from time to time.
What happened to sitting on the porch at The Chicken or Dudleys.? No worries.

I understand, but watch that video from the all out brawl inside Rush. That's something on a whole different level.
That's one of those dance clubs on College Main that attracts a certain clientele. Not surprising.

On days that the heat index is 110+, anyone wearing a hoodie is looking for trouble. Saw several wearing hoodies in the video.

That's just your old talking. Most girls in high school wear hoodies or sweatshirts every day. They aren't all, "looking for trouble"

I my 4 years at A&M I can say I didn't see a single serious fight at a bar or dance club.
I'd see guys bow up chest to chest. But never throw down. This was early 2000's.

Saw quite a few dust ups around North Gate in my time there, but all were taken outside to the mudlot or the alley save for one that I can remember. There was too much staff inside the Chicken to contend with if mayhem broke out in there and most folks knew that.
this happened in almost every city this weekend. not unusual. holiday weekend. hot as hell outside.
I saw somebody get stabbed at the Chicken back in the 90s. Nobody died. Not that unusual.

this definitely seems like it was mostly townies, and not students...the report mentioned people from Bryan and Caldwell.
Really hope Northgate doesn't turn into a local hoodlum hangout, and remains a place for Students. That would be a shame, and something we dont need across the street from campus.
We had a couple at the THOF during the 2000s, but those were typically when Kevin Fowler was playing and the boys from North Zulch/Normangee/etc. decided to come in and cause trouble.

How many HS girls are hanging out at a bar on NorthGate?
If they are, they might not be looking for trouble, but most assuredly trouble is waiting for pretty much everyone involved.
Had a few fights at parties but never at the bar.
Yeah these are townie hood rats taking advantage of north gate in the summer and there are a few "clubs" there that I could see attracting a certain crowd.

College Station is no longer a small town that I am sure most of yall remember but a small city, with city type problems. "Non Students" have been a significant measurable portion of NG demographics for a while now on the weekends.

Cop is lucky. In some circles, pushing means you can stab someone in the heart- and call it self defense
BCS population is now about the size of Baton Rouge or larger. Locals are starting to act more and more like Baton Rouge folk.

I remember that.
I understand there are bad elements everywhere. But I just hope Northgate doesn't become the new gathering spot.

Only big fight I saw was in the parking lot at Sneakers. We showed up for the aftermath as the EMTs had some fat guy with a busted nose sitting on the cart bleeding. He was crying, and at one point screamed, "Don't tell my parents. I'm only 17!". I think he was a townie.

It was not just the staff. I remember one time I was tapped on the shoulder and told to come along by the Asst Mgr. About +20 of us regulars slowly surrounded some drunk playing pool and looking for trouble, we all were quiet and kept our distance but there.
The Asst Mgr then approached the guy and told him it was time for him to leave. Trouble immediately mouthed off and raised his pool cue toward the Asst. Mgr. That was when all +20 of us took a half step forward. Trouble stopped and looked around, that was when he first realized we were even there. He put down his pool cue and was quietly escorted out.
Few words were exchanged by any of us. We just knew what had to be done and we were just the backups.
You cannot spell chaos without CS.

One person listed from Caldwell and another from Bryan. Didn't see The Woodlands or Plano on the list.

Shortly before I left CS in 2008, a friend lived in Reveille Ranch. It was a, at the time, very new apartment complex just down Welborn north of campus before you got to Villa Maria. Really nice place, but they partnered with Candy 95 to do big pool parties that were open to the public. I'm sure their management thought it would be great for marketing... It was NOT in fact good for marketing.
Or maybe the parties were at Z Islander... that was a few sleeps and beers ago.

It was Revellie. I was at those pool parties...the chicken fights for bar credit would end up with a bunch of topless girls. Got shut down pretty quickly.

This is local shenanigans. When school isn't in normal session, they come out in full force.
I worked on Northgate, and the summers were awful because the locals are mostly ****heads.
