Two adults were killed and one child injured at the Chico branch of the Butte County Library, police said. The suspect is in custody, police added. The incident happened Monday afternoon in the Chico branch of the Butte County Library, in northern California. Police responded to multiple 9-11 calls about 5:12 p.m. local time, reporting "gunshots and screaming" from within the small library.

As officers entered the building, "the suspect fled out of the back of the library," Aldridge said, and was taken into custody without incident or shots fired.

Even our libraries are not safe! It is time to crack down hard on such behavior and set examples. Build more jails or mental hospitals, but get these "suspects" off of the streets!

But I thought California libraries were gun free zones. It's almost like people who break the law don't abide by the law.

The politicians in California have no interest in getting these people off the streets. They want gun violence and then to scream about guns and assert and get more control and more power.

...and I hope the gunman had a suppressor so the librarian didn't get upset.

Kill more criminals. If you take a life, you lose your own. Within weeks. Regardless of your age, whether you had issues as a child, or have mental health issues when you kill another person. Gets them permanently out of the gene pool, don't have to house and feed them, it would be a deterrent, and recidivism goes to zero.

Don't bring truth into this thread, it will make the liberals upset.

They need bigger and better placement of the "Gun Free Zone" signs, cause obviously they weren't seen by the perp.

ETA: Have they ever thought about putting up "Murder Free Zone" signs? Seems like a no-brainer, come to think about it.
I don't think you know me.

Swift public death penalty might help.

That would only increase the amounts of murders.

Kind of like gun free zones.
