Anyone else just happy to see the team that everyone thought was sure to win because they have the tallest player in the league on their team to an underdog team in the Knicks?

Sorry, but seeing Spurs fans' tears since the end has been very delicious to see.

"Go New York, go!" indeed.

We found the Rockets fan...

LOL!!!!

Nope, never.

I'd rather be a Lakers fan (I was born and bred a Celtics fan, and hate LeBron with a passion, okay) than be a Rockets fan.

NY figured out that the fourth period was the Spurs Achilles Heel.

As far as NY burning, could not happen to a better city.

After The OKC series the Spurs were spent and Knicks were fresh because they swept the conference finals. The Knicks earned the right to be fresh but definitely impacted the series

I was in NYC for game 4, didn't go to the game but was in the city for the week. It was friggin electric. I lived in Houston during the Stros first title run and it was that x100. Honestly never felt anything like that. The entire city was rooting for the Knicks. I think the only thing that could eventually match that would be the Cowboys finally winning a title. It was really cool to be in the mix and see the big all in on a team.

The Rockets wins in the 90's were good times in the Tine also. 4 championships in Houston and guess how many riots have occurred? Say what you will about Houston but they celebrate right.

Sports riots are nothing new. More than likely fueled by alcohol than anything else. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_riot

Never said sports riots are normal. However I find it interesting that people are saying it is because of Mamdani, or because of allowing "terrorists living in your state" as the poster above me wrote.

I don't care if people criticize Mamdani. I just find it hilarious how obsessed some of y'all are with him, trying to nit pick everything he does from how he dresses, to eats, to how he shovels snow. And he's just the mayor of NYC, thousands of miles away from Texas. He lives rent free in your head. At least people with TDS can argue that Trump has authority over Texas and Trump's policies affect them.

Well, he's the Mayor of the largest and arguably most important city in the country and he and his ilk are a direct threat to the USA so we should be rightfully concerned. We don't want it to spread.

So you're saying the obsession with Mamdani and subsequent Mamdani Derangement Syndrome is more legitimate than the left's obsession with Trump and resulting Trump Derangement Syndrome?

It's more legitimate in that Mamdani and his communist friends are a direct threat to the US way of life. That should be obvious but I guess since most of the Democrats are now openly communist, it's not anymore.

I'm not worried about Trump trying to destroy America. I am worried about Mamdani and the communists doing that because that's their stated goal. See open borders policy and wanting to let illegals vote as just two examples.

There's a difference between questioning his policies and his ideas, and going after him for literally everything else that doesn't matter - how he eats food, where he eats, what clothes he wears, sitting on the ground when meeting with people, the fact that an epic snowstorm meant trash couldn't be picked up on time in the city. Like you name it there are completely irrelevant things that people just obsess about over him.

In my opinion, no different than the people that get obsessed with Trump eating McDonalds, or playing golf, or who he invites to the White House, etc.

That's because people on this forum aren't usually getting their panties in a twist over trivial things Trump does that have no bearing on running the country.
