On June 11th, a law requiring employers to give migrant employees 5 days notice PRIOR to ICE sweeps takes affect.
Doesn't that mean that an employer would be breaking FEDERAL law?

1st and foremost, I have been using everify for over a decade. And my temp workers are vetted/verified.

Does it have a maximum notice time? Like at least 5 days, but no more than XX days? If not, send a blanket notice to every company in Oregon tomorrow that you may be coming by any time on or after June 14th to do a sweep. Boom, law complied with.

With the commies running Washington, I'm sure that this is set up so that if ICE does raid a business and take away some of the workers, their families will be able to sue the evil capitalistic company for damages due to a warning not being provided.

Check IRS records for who works at a raid target.
Give notice to employer of impending raid.
Raid, find no illegals because they all stayed home.
Raid those homes and detain/deport the whole family.

Let me know if I missed how this WA law works in any way.

Did you read the article you linked?

The state law requires employers to notify employees of I-9 audits and to notify employees of the results of the I-9 audit.

The law doesn't say anything about ICE enforcement sweeps. Nor is it likely ICE tells employers ahead of time about a sweep, other than perhaps a few exceptions like DoD munitions makers and industries that handle dangerous materials and chemicals.

Step 1: gather the email addresses of every employer in the state
Step 2: ask Claude to send an email to every employer in the state that ICE is going to perform and audit next Monday.
Step 3: ask Claude to send a follow-up email every day saying that they need to reschedule the audit to one week from the current date.
Step 4: fine every company that doesn't tell migrant workers every single day that ICE is coming on Monday.
