There is actually matter inside a coconut from a tree.
There is a vacuum in kamala's coconut. She is such a lightweight that gravity has no effect on her thus negating any potential impact with the ground (or reality) on her part.

This is not about Kamala, I don't think. This is the DNC probing to solidify coming election strategy. If they feel this approach energizes the base and not just the fringe, get ready to hear alot more of this. Much is said about TDS but that does not mean it can't be a winning strategy. Obama might have mopped the floor with the same TDS strategy that failed Kamala.

I'd wager they will not give the job to Kamala again. Perhaps they know she is already cooked (I wonder if she knows it?). So, the possibility of a majority revolt against SC packing, the statehood play, and aboloshing the EC serves little risk if Kamala is served as tribute. Very easy to dump her for a less radical set of ideas in this context and saddle up Gavin or whomever. By saying "no dumb ideas" the DNC are simultaniously creating an off ramp to seperate from horribly dumb ideas when/if they backfire. "We let everyone have a voice but obviously in doing so we do not agree with all of those voices". Pretty smart, actually. They are desperately trying to figure out if they can actually say what they intend to do, in my opinion.

I know Ds that speak against the crazy trans movement. I know Ds that call out the crazies who cheer political violence. I know Ds who acknowledge progress at the border and who might also support the current efforts to neutralize Iran. I have yet to see/hear a Democrat oppose SC, EC. and statehood. Curious if any of the Ds here take issue with any of them and are willing to say so.

My experience tells me the promise of "MAGA" being forever buried and the idea that Rs never gain power again are worthy of a "by any means necessary" approach.

No. Because it is. And, I did not support support it in anything I shared. I thought I was pretty clear but I am tired, so.

Inserting "democrats believe" before the promise would clarify what you mean.

All those are bad ideas not to mention unconstitutional. And like most things Dems do not think through to the logical end and consequences / conclusion of their ideas.

None of that would have stopped Trump winning and he would have even more of a mandate; between his two terms he would have had more SCOTUS judges to nominate.

The Electoral College argument is that of a child. The natural and next iteration of that will be that flyover states should only have 1 Senator while NY and CA have 4 or 5…..

Well, TBF, packing the SCOTUS can be done legislatively by amending the Judiciary Act. SCOTUS cannot be abolished since it is specifically mentioned within the Constitution but no number of justices is specified. And the number of justices have varied over time.

But here's the thing. Even if the dems were to win the Senate and the WH, they STILL wouldn't have the 60 requisite votes to pack SCOTUS. The only way her "'plan" would work would be to immediately eliminate the filibuster in order to pack the court.

She's telegraphing what the Dems will do once they get to power. The MINUTE they have the Senate at 50/50 or better, the House and the Presidency, you can bet your last dollar that the fillibuster WILL be gone.

So if the above statement is correct, the fillibuster is dead - the question is only when it dies. That is why I am amazed that Mitch, Tillis, Murkowski, & Collins won't vote to kill it in order to protect the election process... ie. the Save America Act.

They're going to have us all die on the hill of "protecting the fillibuster", and the dems will use a faulty election process to gain power and immediately kill it anyway. And then follow that by doing all of these "no bad ideas" to cement their power position.

Mark it down. It's coming.

I am old school. I believe in the filibuster but the way it used to be. Speaking the whole time. So pardon me for being slightly squeamish about anyone abolishing it. But with such a narrow margin between R and D which will be there for the forseeable future, you are probably correct.

Yes, understood, that would not need a constitutional amendment but legislatively it would still be a similar process that will never happen.

The Dems are children and the Rs, many of them anyway, are pragmatic and thoughtful which is why they are hesitant to break the filibuster. But at least in the Senate there are still some thoughtful Dems.

The party that does that is opening an absolute S show of a Pandora's box and it will be the Wild West anything goes and there will be legislation passed and repealed and passed and repealed ad-nauseum every 4 years…

If the Dems has busted the filibuster to pass all their BS under Biden the first 12 months of 47 would have been absolutely wild and extreme to make the 15 months to date look like child's plays.

As it is the Dems can even bring themselves to realize that Trump is just having DHS/ICE enforce laws passed by CONGRESS….

Since they're openly saying it, the GOP should do it now as a defense ploy and make laws keeping states at 50 and SCOTUS at 9. Then pass a law stating that no laws can pass without 60 votes in the Senate.
