Most Americans alive today never experienced Jim Crow. We've only known a world in which Black people have had systematic advantages in college admissions and job hiring. In which more than 60 Black people hold seats in Congress, and one was President for 8 years.

So why are these people still at the wrong end of damn near every social statistic? Especially when other historically persecuted groups (e.g., the Japanese Americans who were forced into internment camps, or the European Jews who escaped from Hitler) are not?
