Yes, and surprising no one, Dan is still a whiny baby/liar.

That Texas might rid itself of both he and Cornyn in the same electoral cycle this year is fantabulous.

It's always something or someone else, never anything he's done. He ought to take some time off to look in the mirror and for some serious reflection on why he's where he's at now.

Sounds familiar.

I think I'm just amazed at what DC does to some people when they get elected. This guy was a Navy SEAL officer for 10 years and now after his time in Washington, he comes across as a whiny punk that never served. It's baffling honestly.

Let's not delude ourselves. He ran on a platform of having an eye patch (an honorable sacrifice but hardly a qualifier for elected office). No voting history. No Republican Party grassroots history. No track record of a political philosophy or mature takes on political issues. No private sector job history. He lived out of district in his parents' house and decided to run for Congress.

GOP voters and talking heads wishcasted him into office, projecting all kinds great potential onto a guy who hadn't earned it, and then they became disillusioned with him when he turned out to be a moody squish all along.

DC didn't turn him into who he is, it just showed him for who he was.

A friend of mine from Houston went to a bar with his friend (who knows Crenshaw) and Crenshaw met them and was out with them, my buddy started asking him, some tough questions about his position on stuff and he got pissed at him and wouldn't respond to any questions, he only would talk small stuff w him… sounded like a weird encounter to be honest, I think that was the only time he saw or ran into him.

To be fair, I don't like being asked about work (medical stuff) when I'm out drinking or socializing, especially with people I don't know. Not saying he didn't act like a dick, but I can relate to being cornered by people when you're just trying to relax and shut off, especially by strangers probably trying to catch him off guard. If it is my friends, thats one thing. But your buddy is just a stranger to him, so I give him a pass on this anecdote. Your buddy kind of sounds like a dick too by pulling this crap, just saying.

Wesley Hunt has been to my cigar lounge a few times and he loved talking about 'work' because I'm the person that votes and he wants to hear stuff from the source. Not the consultants.

Crenshaw isn't cut out for public office.

No your wrong - my buddy has a pretty strong conservative standpoint and asked him some questions - that's on him, if your going to be a politician expect the public to ask you some questions, so no he's not what your hoping he is .., not at all man, if you can't take the heat, don't get in the kitchen bro

That's fair. I guess it's a matter of how he handled it. If he said "listen guys, it's been a long week and id really like to just talk about the Astros and stupid **** tonight to take my mind off of work, if thats ok with you" then thats one thing. If he threw a hissy fit and responded like a dick just because he was asked something he knew he had no answer to, then I agree with you. That said, how do you know that it played out as your buddy portrayed it? Based on Crenshaws history you're probably completely correct in your assessment. But there are plenty of people trying for gotcha moments in times when someone lowers their guard, when they know he is just trying to shut off and relax.

Ok, devils advocate part over.

It's honestly pretty telling when a war time veteran gets his ass primaried in Texas. He really just can't comprehend that the people were tired of his **** and flat out don't like him anymore and that he was replaced. It really is as simple as that.

He is just reinforcing that viewpoint more at this point. Embarrassing.

The fact that she had an accent and was not attacking him in the interview for his policies makes me think he's not much of a Republican. He honestly sounded more like a Buttigieg style gay than a Texan or a navy seal.

politicians are the lowest form of life on the planet right now.

I think for the most part they always have been.

But we're dealing with a level of crazy and insane with the Democrats and some Republicans that we have never seen before.

I wouldn't go that far. We haven't had duels or one politician beating another nearly to death on the house floor in the last century, so it's hard to say we are dealing with a crazy we've never seen before. A different type of crazy, but politicians have, for the most part, always been what they are now - self aggrandizing egotistical out for themselves blowhards.

Outside Candace Owens, he's been one of the most disappointing public figures I can remember. Hero Navy Seal turned Republican congressman. Seemed like he'd be amazing. I guess the swamp got to him.
