I am not convinced about his statements on jobs. The job market is still awful and H1B scams are happening unabated. I don't buy that part of it. It is easier for an Indian in tech to get a job in America than for an American. I know things are happening behind the scenes so that is good. Wrong. The job market is terrible right now for new entrants and experienced Americans. This is especially true in tech. I have been in the industry for over 25 years and it hasn't ever been this bad, including 2008 and 2001.

I am amazed that people just blindly believe government numbers. Or maybe what we call "jobs" these days are HVAC, plumber and electrician jobs as recommended by the old geezers on this group, while foreigners have cornered all the intellectual jobs by undercutting or nepotism.

I think he did and was the only Dem who did. I noticed when Trump was coming and approaching the dais, Fetterman was down front of the Dem side and he and Trump shook hands. From the pan shots hard to see down into the well area to see if it was him, as other people were standing nearby.

It's amazing at the different number of jobs out there that going to a tech school for a year or so will get you into. My cousin got some manufacturing certification from some small tech school after he graduated HS and now works for a large beverage company and is their go-to guy for all of their production equipment across the US.

Once his son graduated high school, he and his wife bought like 100 acres in southern Oklahoma, built their retirement home, and he drives to DFW airport a few times a month and flies to where he needs to go, and works from home when he doesn't need to travel. He has the highest status on American Airlines (has to be a million miler by now), and he and his wife take a few international trips per year that cost him nothing more than hotel/CC points and airline miles he acquires from his work travels and AE Platinum. Dude is living the dream and had zero debt when he started. Just a work ethic and willingness to learn early in his career.

I earned an M.Eng in Nuclear Engineering in 1980. By 1982 I was running my own computer business. And no, I didn't make more money, at least for a long time. However, for my entire career I've driven the company bus. Sure, I may have driven it into the bar ditch a couple times, but I WAS AT THE WHEEL, not sitting in back while someone else drove it into the ditch. I also always got the best t-ball fields, could be a room dad, and saw my kids most of the day every day.
