All of this was so predictable. Islam and Western culture do not mix. It's trying to fit the proverbial square peg in a round hole. But I'm glad to see NYC residents finally get to deal with the stupidity and consequences of their choice. That proposal to ban dogs in NYC is just a middle finger. There are going to be communities in Texas one day that blast loud noise at 4:30 am like they do in the UK. There have been 48 mosques built in Texas in the past two years and there are 62 of them in Dallas--67 in Houston. The camel's nose is already under the tent.

My small suburb just sent out a notice to expect heavy traffic at the Mosque pretty much every single day of Ramadan. Their facility is too small, little parking for the crowds they pack in.

You being serious? The UK is stricter on banning certain dog breeds and they have struggle with an abundance of dogs following COVID, the the proposals that the writer of that "article" you linked included nothing about banning dogs.

They restrict dogs in certain areas to be on leashes, not in children play areas, no ****ting on the soccer pitches and other very reasonable measures many places in the US already employ.

The Islamophobia is getting pretty thick. There is not a suicide bomber hiding in every Muslim.

Like most political drama, I expect this will pass - but it has been useful in outing some who pretend to be conservatives but misunderstand the fullness of cultural conviction that conservation requires in this period.
