Lucky for me, my 1999 Ford Expedition is only an XLT and not the Eddie Bauer version

I like some Eddie Bauer clothes but didn't know they had gone woke. Most of their stores had closed in greater Houston area years ago, I thought that was just do to more successful brands taking their market.

I hunt and fish and Eddie Bower has never made a single product I ever bought.

The bar for what qualifies as " woke" seems so low these days that " go woke, go broke" kinda loses all meaning.

Yet Patagonia lives. Is their stuff that great?

Eh, the brand was already dying. "Going woke" was an attempt to reinvent the brand and get new market share, it didn't work. The key part of this is that it's their third bankruptcy, so they've been struggling for a while. Can't blame this on going woke, you can more likely blame it on the death of catalog based sales, and taking out several companies with it that failed to modernize. Eddie Bauer and Sears are the most prominent casualties.

The wokeness goal-tending on this thread is pathetic. EB's demise hasn't a damn thing to do with online sales or tariffs. The EB brand, which was once synonymous with outdoors, became indistinguishable. For contrast, look at Burlebo, a Texas company that has taken off like a rocket. Why? It started with a small offering of average-quality performance hoodies. It built a brand that is synonymous with the outdoors and is already larger than EB. Good riddance to ALL the woke libtard brands.

Agreed. Eddie Bauer hasn't been relevant since the 90s.

Once upon a time, the Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer edition was THE vehicle to own in high school. Buddy had the green and tan one. We all drooled over it.
