This guy, "Asmongold", real name Zach Hoyt, is one of the most popular Gamer and now political commentators on Twitch, YouTube, etc...

I had played World of Warcraft myself 10-12 years ago and had seen a few of his videos back then. But he has just kept at it day after day and has made it big. Still lives in the small house in Austin in a now gentrified neighborhood. He's known for his messy surroundings which often include styrofoam cups of Dr Pepper and fast food bags - some people call him the 'cockroach' king - which he embraced.

The last few years saw him increasingly delve into the political and social commentary realm mainly out of frustration of his favorite games, such as World of Warcraft and Diablo, having become more and more woke and feminized.

I started watching his commentary recently and I don't always agree with him but find way more agreement than disagreement. But I find him quite interesting and worth a watch -

Yes. Both of them are good. I relate with them with seeing the joy sapped out of popular culture like Star Wars, Marvel, DC, etc etc .... The Woke virus ruins EVERYTHING!

When a new movie comes out, I go to The Critical Drinker before watching it.

He did a review of F1 starring Brad Pitt and gave it glowing reviews.

He was right - one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.

Not sure I'd call him a political commentator. He's more of an average Joe who sits around and talks **** about the craziness of current, modern events and political themes are abundant and easy to chastise.

What's ironic, in the teenage and maybe young 20's photos of him, he looks like your stereotypical, leftist school shooter - I point to the youtube thumbnail by the OP - but you can quickly tell that is a horrible assumption once he starts talking about whatever topic peaks his interest at the time. He's just a major introvert that is borderline agoraphobic.

I personally enjoy watching his youtube videos and shorts because they are humerous in nature and far from your Fox News, CNN, talk radio pundits - this is who I consider political commentators.

Dude has made millions over the last 10-20 years just because he streams on multiple platforms almost 12 hours a day. I don't know if he makes any money off his youtube stuff because he doesn't post those videos. All his youtube content is created by 2 different editors and Asmongold gives them free reign to do whatever they want using his streaming content. The 1st editor is some Russian guy (CatDany) who "stole" his streaming content, but Asmongold saw it as free pub for his streaming channels and reached out to him to give him an official approval.

Honestly his best material is from The Acolyte. Here's just the first episode and it's incredible stuff. I recommend watching his reviews of each episode if you enjoy this.
