Today, NYT came out with a new editorial calling for "regulation" of pot. They cite a stat - "daily or neardaily "cannabis use was nearly three times as prevalent … as alcohol use." as well as increased addiction rates. This is a total turnaround of the Time's stance that marijuana was safe, non addictive and should not be regulated

Next week Trump will heal our divide and unify the country when he comes out in favor of mail-in-voting, abortion, and higher tax rates for the rich.

Their entire political calculus is now "we are the opposite of Trump."

As someone has said before, the only strategy Liberals have is to be upset/mad about everything Trump does. He could cure cancer and they would complain about all of those involved in cancer treatment who would be out of jobs.

Maybe it's flip flopping because of reeeeee. Maybe some people process new information and said information informs an improved POV.

Not everything has to be a politically-based gotcha.

And this is just generally speaking. I have certainly "flip flopped" over time on things as I learn more on some issues , new data emerges, and different perspectives are appreciated.

we already got a trial run of this during the pandemic. Ds would take the cure; fringe Rs would get paranoid the cure was deadlier than cancer and eat horse paste instead.

Trump could save a drowning child from the ocean and the NYT headline would be "Evil Orange Cheeto Starves Helpless Future Scientist Shark Baby!"
