If the 2024 election was stolen, and that was proven, it is 100% unacceptable. It's really too late to change the outcome of the election, but we can certainly change election procedures so that no election is stolen by either side in the future. So, the answer to that question is easy:
1) Pass the SAVE act
2) Make national voter ID mandatory
3) Require a single person to be responsible for the integrity of registered voter roles, make gross negligence of maintaining an accurate voter registration list a federal crime, provide government grants to the states to pay to have accurate voter registration roles.
4) Require a single person in each state to sign off on the election, and make gross negligence of signing off on an election with faulty internal controls a federal crime. Adopt language similar to Sarbanes-Oxley about the internal controls that must be in place for a federal election. The criminal acts of the election officials is not tied to whether or not there was illegal voting, it is tied to the head election officials responsibilities to create and enforce adequate internal controls around elections.
5) Pass a law that lays out the proper procedure for an audit of an election, so that our cowardly judiciary doesn't play games and just require the states to recount the number of cards in a stacked deck. The way that the audits were done of the 2020 election was like counting the number of cards in a deck and coming up with 52, and saying "look, all good here", except when you turn the deck over there are 37 red cards and only 15 black cards. All you would have to do is turn the cards over to see that the deck was stacked.
If we found out today that the 2024 election was stolen, this is exactly the kind of stuff we should do to prevent it from ever happening again.
