When we were freshly minted MBAs from a top ranked b-school, we were all intent in showing it off. Many of my batchmates put "MBA" after their name on Linkedin. I generally don't do that but I did so as well at that time. But it felt so pretentious and fake that I removed it after a few days. Never add it back since.
What I find awful is some profiles in Linkedin which show up as "Stanford University" next to their name. You may think they are super smart. But when you click on their profile, you see they took a 1 month "executive leadership" course from Stanford University and proudly put that in "education" as if it was a degree. You may have guessed it, mainly Indians doing this.
Try this link to find profiles Tex A&M and Harvard.
