I think it was last year or the year before when Abbott sent a surge of dps troopers into Austin to hit up the highest crime areas. Within a week, violent crime, petty theft, and every other category dropped by something like 40% (might have been or less, cant remember thr number). Within two weeks it had dropped even more.

The Austin city council and activist groups cried so much that dps ended up pulling out and the crime returned.

They cried because said areas of interest where predominantly minority. Guess they like crime, according to the activist

I could maybe forgive the emotional breakdown if it had occurred when discussing an American who was raped or killed by an illegal. Instead, they work to reclassify the perp as "white" during booking and work in concert with the media to push a narrative of racism.
